Our plastic surgeons, Dr. Jonathan Weiler, Dr. M’liss Hogan, and Dr. Pamela Brownlee, understand a mother’s desire to feel confident and comfortable with her post-baby body. Due to the strain of pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding, many women are unable to get back to their pre-baby shapes with diet and exercise alone. But with continual pressure to look put together and “bounce back” after pregnancy from a large part of society, this reality can truly crush a new mother’s confidence. We offer Mommy Makeover surgery for women from Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Covington, Metairie, and New Orleans, LA, and beyond because we want mothers to feel their best. You deserve to look as good as you feel no matter what obstacles are ahead of you.

How Much Does a Mommy Makeover Cost in Baton Rouge?
Expect the cost for a Mommy Makeover to range from approximately $18,000 to $26,000. Prices vary widely because each patient has different needs and cosmetic goals; therefore, each Mommy Makeover is unique. Our plastic surgeons provide patients from nearby cities, New Orleans, and beyond a personalized price quote as part of the one-on-one consultation. We also offer a number of financing options to help make cosmetic plastic surgery as accessible as possible.
Liposuction is a treatment used to surgically remove fat cells from stubborn areas that don’t respond to diet and exercise. When used with a mommy makeover, liposuction can help sculpt the abdomen, thighs, arms, and back.*
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that changes the size and shape of the labia minora. An enlarged or irregularly shaped labia minora can cause discomfort or pain during sexual intercourse and physical activities and can cause women to be self-conscious about wearing tight-fitting clothes.
ThermiVa utilizes radiofrequency energy to heat the outer and inner vaginal tissue in order to tighten the existing collagen.*
Your Surgical Experience
Our Mommy Makeovers are performed at Weiler Plastic Surgery under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Patients will need someone to drive them home after the surgery and have someone stay with them for a few days after surgery.
If you are receiving a tummy tuck, your surgeon will place two small drains to aid in removing excess fluid. The drains are typically removed at your one-week follow-up visit. A garment is applied after surgery and should be worn for four to six weeks. If you are receiving a breast augmentation or a breast lift you will be required to wear a bra for the first six weeks.
If you are a current smoker, your surgeon advises you to stop smoking for a minimum of three weeks prior to your procedure. Smoking can greatly affect the healing process after an abdominoplasty. All current medications you are currently taking will be reviewed at your preoperative appointment and we will inform you if anything you are taking will need to be stopped prior to surgery.

A physical exam will be done to access your abdomen, breast area, and any other areas of concern. You will be given a recommendation for the most effective procedure to meet and exceed your expressed goals, as well as alternative treatments.* At Weiler Plastic Surgery, we like for our New Orleans and Baton Rouge Mommy Makeover patients to take as much time as they need to have all of their questions answered. Your satisfaction, desires, and goals are our primary concern.
What to Expect After Surgery
Typical recovery for a Mommy Makeover is traditionally not much longer than a standard tummy tuck. We will see you back in the office in one to two days following your procedures to remove the dressings and inspect incisions. Concerns are addressed and instructions are reviewed for optimal recovery. After this visit you will be allowed to go home and shower with your body compression bandage on, however, your bra may be removed. You should expect some swelling and bruising initially which will subside over the next couple of weeks. Tightness in your abdominal muscles after a tummy tuck is normal. Some patients may not be able to stand completely upright for a few days following surgery. Walking around after your surgery is very important to promote circulation. If you had a tummy tuck, your surgeon will recommend starting on full strength aspirin daily for the first week after surgery. You will return to the office seven days post surgery and again at two weeks for your initial follow-up visits.
Post-Op Activity Restrictions
Patient’s recovery after Mommy Makeover procedures are highly variable, but in general most patients are able to return to work within 10 to 14 days and are back to normal activities within two to three weeks.* Strenuous activity is to be avoided for several weeks following the surgery. At six weeks most patients are able to resume normal activity with no restrictions.
For one full year following your surgery, we invite you to enjoy special discounts and rewards through our Post-Op Perks program.
