Your Face is in Good Hands
Led by Taylor Bech, PA-C, our experienced team of injectors is second to none when it comes to creating exceptional, natural-looking results for women and men who want to improve their appearance without plastic surgery. Our expert injectors combine their advanced training with personalized care, earning a reputation for excellence in Baton Rouge and throughout Louisiana.
Repeated facial movements like smiling and squinting result in lines and creases in our skin. Young skin bounces back into place, unlike more mature skin. As we age, we lose collagen and elastin, which causes the lines to become even deeper. BOTOX temporarily reduces the amount of facial muscle movement, therefore allowing wrinkles to smooth out or even preventing wrinkle formation in the first place. This will allow your skin to restore its youthfulness for a period of time.*

BOTOX Candidates
BOTOX is the leading cosmetic procedure worldwide. Do you ever notice “frown lines” between your eyebrows, wrinkles on your forehead, or perhaps “crow’s feet” or lines around your eyes? We have the solution for you, BOTOX treatments at Weiler Plastic Surgery!* Our expert Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners have restored youthfulness to many faces of women and men with this injectable wrinkle relaxer.* Results may become noticeable within 48 hours after injection.
BOTOX vs. Dermal Fillers
BOTOX and dermal fillers like JUVÉDERM® are temporary injectable facial rejuvenation products that have some important differences:
BOTOX
Treats dynamic wrinkles by relaxing the muscles that create them.
Takes 3 to 5 days for results to develop.
Lasts 3 to 4 months.
Dermal Fillers
Treat lines and folds that are present when the face is at rest; add and restore volume around the eyes, on the cheeks, and to the backs of the hands; and sculpt the lips.
Results are visible right away.
Last 6 months to 2 years, depending on the specific filler and treatment area.
We often combine BOTOX and fillers, called a liquid facelift, to provide overall facial rejuvenation.
Before the Procedure
This procedure is relatively easy and can be done with minimal discomfort. Our Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and the staff at Weiler Plastic Surgery will make your time with us as easy and comfortable as possible.
The Procedure
Small injections are administered under the skin to improve problem areas on the face. BOTOX treatments are used most effectively to smooth lines and wrinkles on the face.* Because BOTOX is a simple, nonsurgical treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime. You can make an appointment to stop by your health care professional’s office for treatment and return to your life right away!
After the Procedure
Immediately following BOTOX injections, it is best to avoid strenuous exercise or alcohol. You may use ice around injection sites. In addition, your health care provider may discuss avoiding using any NSAIDs, such as Motrin or ibuprofen, for a day or so to help reduce downtime.
Results
You will be able to notice the results in 3 to 4 days, but full results will not be apparent until 2 weeks after the procedure. Treatment is usually needed every 3 to 4 months to maintain best results.*
Other Uses for BOTOX
In addition to the traditional indications, Dr. Weiler uses BOTOX for other cosmetic improvements, which include:
BOTOX lip flip allows the upper lip to roll gently outward and upward to balance the upper and lower lips.
Jaw slimming can be achieved by reducing the activity of the masseter muscles.
Softening neckbands to make them less prominent and help the neck look smoother and more youthful.
Smoothing chin dimples by relaxing the mentalis muscle.

Combining BOTOX With Other Treatments
Many people make the most of their time with us by having other nonsurgical treatments when they come in for BOTOX. Popular choices include:
Our plastic surgeons bring years of experience and dedication to personalized care to the men and women of Louisiana. Founder Dr. Jonathan Weiler is known for his advanced surgical expertise, extensive knowledge, and warm demeanor. Dr. M'liss Hogan's wealth of skill and experience complement her unique understanding of her patients' needs, and Dr. Pamela Brownlee specializes in both surgical and nonsurgical procedures. Together, they share a vision of enriching and improving their patients' lives.
These products contain variations of the same active ingredient, so the differences are subtle. Dysport is a bit thinner than BOTOX, so it can spread farther from where it’s injected. This often gives it an advantage when treating larger areas.
Is it really safe combining dermal fillers and BOTOX injections?
When performed by an experienced injector on a carefully screened patient, it is safe to combine BOTOX and filler treatments. These products work in different ways and do not interfere with each other.
How long will my results last?
BOTOX results typically last 3 to 4 months. Maintenance treatments can help you continue to look more youthful and refreshed and feel more confident.
How often should I repeat the treatment to keep my results?
We recommend coming in for a maintenance treatment about every 3 to 4 months when the effects begin to wear off. Your injector will give you a better idea of the time frame that is right for you. Keeping a consistent schedule can extend the life of your results and allow you to go longer between touch-up treatments.
What’s the best age to start getting injections?
There is no specific “best” age for starting BOTOX injections. Many people have their first treatment in their 40s when they notice lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows, or around the eyes. Young adults in their late 20s and early 30s have treatments as a preventive measure to hold off wrinkle development.
Does BOTOX prevent new wrinkles from forming?
Yes. BOTOX can be used to prevent wrinkles from developing in younger people and stop new wrinkles from forming in those who have put their wrinkles to rest.
When it comes to targeting existing wrinkles or preventing new ones from forming, few injectable treatments can rival the effectiveness and popularity of BOTOX® Cosmetic. BOTOX is a type of neuromodulator that blocks nerve signals from engaging the muscles being targeted, leading to that smooth and well-rested appearance that our patients love. The question of...
