A Lafayette native, Dr. Bennett Fontenot is a double board-certified plastic surgeon who has been in clinical practice in Louisiana since 2015. He specializes in a wide range of aesthetic face, breast, and body procedures, including complex breast and full-body reconstruction, at our Lafayette, Louisiana, location. Dr. Fontenot strives to provide a positive aesthetic journey for patients by offering expert guidance, thoroughly answering their questions, and delivering optimal outcomes using the most advanced surgical techniques.

Dr. Fontenot earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from LSU in Baton Rouge. He completed a general surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and a plastic and reconstructive fellowship at the University of Texas in Houston. During his fellowship rotations at MD Anderson Cancer Center, he also trained in advanced DIEP flap microsurgical breast reconstruction techniques.

When he’s not caring for the patients and neighbors he grew up with in Lafayette, Dr. Fontenot unwinds by playing tennis and guitar and enjoys spending time outdoors. He and his wife, Alden, love to travel and spend time with their two wonderful children, Lily and Bennett.

I was still a little hesitant when I went in for my consultation appointment, but Dr. Fontenot and his team made everything so easy and achievable that I was able to book my procedure on the same day. Love my result!! The nurses were absolutely the BEST—so nice and friendly (from the consultation with Peyton to the very last follow up). Mallory and Ashley were sooo helpful and made me feel at ease! Lyndsey is always so sweet on the phone. Very clean office and facility! Dr. Fontenot is an awesome surgeon! I drove from out of town and would 10 out of 10 recommend! Kayley is also a wonderful injector! So knowledgeable and did an amazing job!

Dr. Fontenot is nothing short of amazing! My body had experienced an emergency appendectomy early in life that cut muscle leaving a horrible pocket scar and I also have four beautiful children—I decided to undergo a mommy makeover to fix those stomach issues and explant/implant surgery to replace 29 year old saline implants.
