Dr. Mary “Misty” Ghere is a proud native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who enjoys devoting her life to the art and science of plastic surgery. As a highly accomplished and compassionate female board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Ghere considers it a tremendous privilege to serve her patients’ cosmetic needs—from head to toe—in Denham Springs and Baton Rouge—the city she loves!

Education & Training
A former collegiate golfer with a degree in studio art, Dr. Ghere graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed her general surgery training there. She continued her training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she performed both her plastic surgery residency and a one-year fellowship in hand surgery.
Upon completing her specialty training, Dr. Ghere was delighted to return to Baton Rouge, where she established a private plastic surgery practice before joining the team at Weiler Plastic Surgery.
Areas of Special Clinical Interest
Double board-certified in surgery (2015) and plastic and reconstructive surgery (2019), Dr. Ghere performs various procedures designed to transform patients physically while restoring their self-confidence. Her specializations include facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation and reconstruction, body contouring procedures like tummy tuck surgery, and injectables.

After an early stint playing golf and studying art at Tulane University, Dr. Ghere shifted her focus to the pursuit of medicine and plastic surgery. As the daughter of physicians dedicated to breast cancer treatment and support, the idea of compassionately caring for the “whole” patient was instilled early on. This philosophy continues to underscore her treatment approach. Dr. Ghere is thrilled to serve patients’ cosmetic needs in her hometown of Baton Rouge, where she lives with her husband, Brian, a veterinarian, and their 5 children, Aubrey, Rhett, Callie, Josie, and Emsley.
