Skimming and Replacing for a Natural Butt Lift
With every butt lift procedure here at Weiler Plastic Surgery in Baton Rouge, you are essentially getting an additional procedure. Because a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) consists of using the patient’s own fatty tissue from other areas of the body to lift and contour the buttock area, liposuction is a necessary procedure to obtain that additional fat. This is a major reason most patients claim this procedure is the most gratifying.
Can you move fat from your stomach to your buttocks?
Yes. If you need fat trimmed from your abdomen area, a BBL can use the fat from that area as well as others, such as the inner thigh, back fat, and underarms. Additional fatty tissue from almost anywhere on the body can be removed with liposuction and injected into the buttocks to create a firmer, rounder butt. In the patient’s photos posted above, fatty tissue was taken from the upper back and injected into the buttocks to give it that rounder appearance.
Brazilian Butt Lift Before and After
Most patients enjoy the body contouring that results from a Brazilian butt lift, including the reduction of fat bulges and rounder, firmer, and shapelier butts. How long is recovery from lipo and BBL?
Brazilian butt lift patients often can return to work within a week to 10 days of the surgery. Your surgeon will most likely clear you to return to your normal activities after 2 to 3 weeks post-op, but it may take up to 2 months to be fully healed. Typically, there is little no scarring after a BBL and liposuction. Very few patients see scarring at the injection site around the buttocks, while most patients find it hard to spot where the fat was injected after it is completely healed. With the help of scar creams, scars usually fade pretty quickly after the injection site is healed.
