VISIA Skin Analysis 101

I’m Krystal, medical aesthetician, in the Denham Springs office, and we are here to talk about Visia skin analysis. It is great to start for a baseline skincare and procedures. Visia is a device that is able to see the sun damage, reds, browns, pore size, literally everything about your skin. So, it is very important, because it gives us a baseline of where to start, and what regiment you should do. Step one, we start with cleansing the skin, and then we do the Visia. Basically, you put your face in the little device, and it takes three pictures. So, it is actually getting pictures of the epidermis and the dermis, and it has a cross-polarize lighting and UV lighting. Step two, we review the pictures, and see what procedures and products are best for you. So, the pictures are showing a lot of things, fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, bacteria, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage. And finally, step three, we review the results and take a really good look and see what best skincare and procedures are best for your skin. For example, it might be a better skincare regimen for pigmentation, one for anti-aging or procedures that will be best for you. Whatever your issues are, Visia is a great start to analyze in the consultation process to see what’s best for you.
