Staff Picks: Taylor, PA-C Discusses her Skincare Regimen

One of the most common questions we get from our regular patients is, “What is involved in YOUR skin care regimen?” As a firm believer in preventative maintenance for aging and the effectiveness of the products and services we offer here at Weiler Plastic Surgery, I wanted to walk you through my own skin care regimen!

Every morning I start with cleansing my skin and Elastiderm by Obagi Eye Cream. The biggest preventative I use to prevent fine lines and wrinkles, to get rid of free-radicals in the skin.

For antioxidant properties, I use TNS Recovery Complex by SkinMedica. This is made of growth factors that promote the restimulation of collagen and elastin. I use this morning and night to help with discoloration, fine lines, wrinkles, and to help prevent or prolong the aging process.

After my first child, I developed Melasma, which is a discoloration of the skin. For this, I use SkinMedica’s Lytera 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum. This is a non-hydroquinone product that helps prevent, soften, and reverse the Melasma discoloration in the face.

In the morning, the most important product I apply is Elta MD Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 41 UVA/UVB protection sunscreen.

At night, I also use the Dermal Repair Cream by SkinMedica.  I like a thick, hydrating moisturizer before bed, so this is what I apply to my skin for my night regimen.

In addition to skin care products, I also regularly receive Botox around my eyes, forehead, and glabellar for fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, I also use Latisse for beautiful and healthy long lashes.

Very soon I will be starting aggressive treatment with our new Infini Radio Frequency Microneedling Device. This microneedling with radio frequency will help with the elasticity issues of my lower lids and tear troughs.
