How QWO Works
QWO (pronounced kwoah) treats cellulite by releasing the fibrous bands (fibrous septae) that pull the skin down amid underlying fat cells and create dimples. This injectable product contains enzymes called collagenases that are thought to break down the fibrous bands—allowing the fat cells to lie flat without dimpling.
Are you a good candidate for QWO cellulite treatments?
QWO is FDA approved for treating cellulite on the buttocks of women ages 18 to 79. It is safe for all skin types and ethnicities.
QWO does not address skin laxity. During your consultation, your provider will examine your concerns to determine the best treatment plan for you. If you have laxity or volume loss, you may need to restore this with RADIESSE®.
How are QWO treatments performed?
QWO is an injectable treatment performed in our office. Your provider will use a surgical pen to mark individual dimples on your buttocks while you are standing. Next, you will lie face down on the treatment table and your provider will inject QWO into the targeted dimples. Most patients experience minimal discomfort, so no anesthetic is needed. After your injections are complete, which takes about 10 minutes, you will relax on the table for an additional 5 to 10 minutes. Afterwards, you will be free to return to your normal activities.

For optimal results, patients typically need 3 treatments spaced 3 weeks apart.
What can I expect after QWO treatments?
Bruising is the most common side effect after the injections. It may be quite pronounced after the first treatment but typically decreases in intensity with the additional treatments. Bruising usually fades within 3 weeks.
When will I see results from QWO?
You may notice improvement as early as 3 to 4 weeks after treatment. Dimples will continue to fade, with final results reached about 3 weeks after the last treatment.
How long will my QWO results last?
By maintaining a healthy lifestyle and avoiding weight gain, results may last a year or longer.
