Meet Dr. Brownlee

Dr. Pamela Brownlee’s sense of style and fashion, along with her keen eye for aesthetic ideals, gives her a unique appreciation for the positive physical changes that her patients seek. As a female, Dr. Brownlee connects personally with the cosmetic goals of her patients. And as a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon in Baton Rouge, she is passionate about boosting people’s confidence by creating beautiful results.

Educational Journey

Dr. Brownlee excelled at all levels of education, including when she graduated as salutatorian of her high school class in her home state of Michigan. She attended Michigan State University’s prestigious Lyman Briggs College of Science and graduated summa cum laude (with highest honors) with a bachelor’s degree. Dr. Brownlee made the Dean’s honor list in each of her 4 years of college and was also elected to Michigan State’s homecoming court in each of those years.  

After earning her undergraduate degree, Dr. Brownlee completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill, where she continued to display her leadership skills. She was president of her medical school class and founded the school’s surgery club. During this time, she was also the National Convention Coordinator for the Student Osteopathic Surgical Association. Training at an osteopathic medical school helped Dr. Brownlee appreciate the importance of treating patients as a unit of body, mind, and spirit. 

Dr. Brownlee completed a 5-year general surgery residency at the University of Florida-Jacksonville. As a board-certified general surgeon, she pursued her passion for plastic surgery by completing another 3-year residency in the University of Mississippi Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Program. There, Dr. Brownlee trained in all aspects of plastic surgery, including cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring procedures, craniofacial surgery for adults and children, traumatic and oncologic reconstructions, microsurgery, and hand surgery. Afterwards, she elected to complete an additional year of training as an Aesthetic Fellow at North Texas Plastic Surgery so that she can provide the best possible outcomes for her patients.
