Meet Dr. Brownlee

Dr. Pamela Brownlee, Plastic Surgeon

As a female plastic surgeon, Dr. Brownlee shares a unique understanding of her patients’ goals. Her keen eye for aesthetic ideals and attention to detail give her a deep appreciation for the positive changes in appearance that her patients seek. Through both surgical and non-surgical procedures, Dr. Brownlee is passionate about helping her patients boost their self-confidence and achieve their desired results.

Dr. Brownlee’s Educational Journey

Dr. Brownlee grew up in Michigan and graduated salutatorian of her high school class. She went to college at Michigan State University, where she was selected to attend their prestigious Lyman Briggs College of Science. She was on both the Dean’s Honor List and homecoming court all four years of her college education. Dr. Brownlee remained committed to her studies and graduated Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors) with her Bachelor of Science degree.

She went on to complete medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill. Dr. Brownlee was the president of her medical school class and founded the school’s surgery club. During this time, she was also the National Convention Coordinator for the Student Osteopathic Surgical Association. Training at an osteopathic medical school helped Dr. Brownlee appreciate the importance of treating patients as a unit of body, mind, and spirit.

After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Brownlee completed a five-year general surgery residency at the University of Florida-Jacksonville and is now a board-certified General Surgeon. Knowing that her passion was always to pursue plastic surgery, she matched into the University of Mississippi Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Program. While in Mississippi, Dr. Brownlee trained in all aspects of plastic surgery, including cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring procedures, craniofacial surgery for adults and children, traumatic and oncologic reconstructions, microsurgery, and hand surgery.

Dr. Brownlee’s passion for aesthetic surgery flourished during her time in Mississippi, and she now brings that passion to the people of Baton Rouge, LA. She is committed to providing the best possible outcomes for her patients, as evidenced by her choice to do an additional year of training as one of North Texas Plastic Surgery’s Aesthetic Fellows for 2021-2022. 

Life Outside the Office

Dr. Brownlee is married to Jay, who is an airline pilot. Their wedding was Fall 2021. In their free time, they like to travel, try new restaurants, and spend time with their two rescue cats. Dr. Brownlee has also remained an avid dancer since childhood and has competed in numerous competitions throughout the years.

She continues to stay current in her specialty and enjoys discussing the field of plastic surgery with students, patients, and her community. She is always looking for community events where she can educate and share her knowledge.
